Cave Le Banneret

Presentation
The Le Banneret winery is, above all, a family story—that of the Maye family, whose values span several generations.
In 1986, Carlo and his son Jean-Charles decided to make wine from the family vineyards by creating their own winery. Named "Le Banneret", it honors their ancestor Alexandre Maye, a prominent Valaisan figure of the 18th century. A deputy at the Diet, castellan of Chamoson, and an officer in the service of Sardinia and later of the French Empire, he also held the title of Captain of the Banner. To this day, his proud figure with flag in hand is featured on the building and labels of the winery.
Committed to eco-friendly practices, the family sustainably cultivates its vineyards. The resulting wines are predominantly distinctive single-varietals, reflecting the character of their winemakers. Thanks to their dedication, the Maye family banner will continue to fly over this corner of the country for many years to come.
